Members of the Meeting have a wide range of interests, but some activities undertaken with the support of the whole Meeting are:
Homelessness
Members of the Meeting take it in turns to prepare a dinner for those staying at the Leatherhead Night Hostel every other Monday. Our bank account is with the Quaker Social Housing Account in the Triodos Bank so that our money is helping the homeless while we are not using it.
Peace and Social Witness
The purpose of the Peace and Social Witness Committee is to raise and maintain awareness of issues to do with human rights and equality, social welfare, justice, and peacebuilding, and to take actions, with the agreement of the Meeting and where appropriate.
This includes addressing priorities from the Framework for Action 2009 – 2014, such as:
- Strengthening the spiritual roots in our meetings and in ourselves
- Speaking out in the world
- Peace
- Sustainability
- Strengthening local communities
- Crime, Community, and Justice
- Using our resources well

here.
Environment
We undertake environmental audits of the Meeting House with the aim of minimising our impact on the environment. Actions arising from these include:
- we changed our electricity supplier to Good Energy which ensures our electricity consumption is matched by generation from renewable resources.
- we ensure that all organic waste generated by the users of the premises is composted and paper/plastic is recycled.
- to reduce our CO2 emissions by draft reduction we had our sash windows professionally refurbished and draft-proofed, some with the help of a grant from the SITA Environmental Trust.
- we have replaced our central heating boiler and refurbished our heating system to make it more efficient.

We are an
Eco-Congregation in the Churches Environmental Programme of Churches Together in Britain and Ireland and obtained the Eco-Congregation Award for 2002 to 2004 and again for 2008 to 2010.
We signed up to 10:10, so tried to reduce our carbon emissions by 10% in 2010. Our CO2 emissions from electricity and gas use in 2009 were 8,852kg (down 12% from 2008), so our target for 2010 was 7,996kg. The bars here show that the cold spells caused us to overshoot (but our emissions were lower than in 2008).
